Music Ministry

The Centre for Spiritual Living Vancouver is known for its powerful, passionate music - lighting up the sanctuary with spiritual song that gets people on their feet dancing.

We are also blessed each Sunday with our House Ensemble - a group of musicians who sing and play instruments for our congregational songs. If you have a talent for singing or playing music that you would like to share, please let us know. We would love to have you!

Cecile LaRochelle: Director of Music

Cecile is a singer whose path crosses the streams of jazz, R & B, pop, blues, gospel and musical theatre. She has appeared on television and stage as both an actress and singer in Canada and the United States. Cecile has worked with Sheena Easton, Jon Bon Jovi, Long John Baldry, John Denver, Sesame Street...AND has penned, recorded and produced numerous albums including her own gospel and children's albums.

Cecile opened her first vocal studio in Orlando, Florida and became a prominent vocal coach to Disney and Universal Studios singers, as well as numerous boy/girl groups aspiring to be stars in the Orlando magical arena of star makers: (i.e. Backstreet Boys, N'Sync, Brittany Spears).

Cecile continues her professional development as an SLS instructor through ongoing study, master classes, seminars in Los Angeles, and annual testing in the Speech Level Singing technique. She recently opened LaRochelle Vocal Studios in Vancouver where she pursues her passionate love of teaching the art and heart of singing. For more information visit www.cecilelarochelle.com.

SpiritSong Choir

Our heart-centred choir performs at service on the last Sunday of each month, under the direction of Cecile LaRochelle.

Choir rehearsals are every Wednesday at 7:00pm in the Maritime Labour Centre. New members are always welcome and no experience is necessary - just the desire to sing and be joyful!
