CSL’s motto, “Uniting the World in Love”, takes a variety of forms—loving ourselves, others, our community, and the planet. Just as charity “begins at home”, so too does the gift of service. As the quotes above attest, giving benefits the giver and the receiver. Our own philosophy states that God is the giver and the gift. The same is true for us as manifestations of God. Experience your God-self in service today.

The following ministries give you the opportunity to serve:

  • Sunday Service – Provide a hug, handshake or warm welcome to congregants and guests, and participate in setup, collecting the offertory, and take down. If you like people, want to get to know more people, or want to step outside your comfort zone, then this is the ministry for you.

  • Bookstore – The bookstore serves our community by providing valuable resources in the form of books, tapes, gifts and music. Staffing the bookstore is like running a small business – manage cash, provide sales assistance, set up and take down displays.

  • Hospitality – This ministry sets out snacks, prepares coffee and manages the clean up. A fun and tasty way to serve.

  • Sound and/or CD Duplication - our sound ministry ensures that our speakers and musicians true voices are heard during Sunday service by setting out microphones, controlling volume, and taping the service. CD duplication takes the service from the master tape and burns it onto CD's that are then sold to congregants. If you have a background doing sound, or would like to learn, then this is the ministry for you!

All of the above ministries are managed by a team leader who is there to teach, love and answer questions. They are there to serve you as you serve. Training is provided and schedules are flexible. Consider how much you will give, and how much you will get by volunteering just one Sunday (approximately 3 hours) a month.
